Now everyone say it together... Awwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!


Sweet Pea has  wanted a pet of her own for a bit. It switches from day to day if she wants fish, birds... a shark.... but we finally settled on these two little men. Mainly because 1. I made the comment a few months back that when Sweet Pea gets old enough, it might not be a bad idea to have her show rabbits for 4-H and 2. because hubby could get these little guys for free.


So they arrived at our home, they conquered our hearts, they have held us in rapt attention (including Pickle who thinks that "rabbits are boring").... They are filling our entry way with pine/cedar shavings, timothy grass, and little balls that look suspiciously like raisins but are no where near close. They are scaring the dogs (especially Max who likes to thump his back leg against the bottom of the cage to create a sound quite similar to a gun shot), spilling their pellets, begging for more and more and more lettuce and definitely finding their own way into our hearts.


Eventually, we are pretty positive that these will be "free range bunnies" meaning that they will have run of the living room, dining room and entry way. But not until we can trust the dogs and bunnies to co-exist peacefully (and not until they are neutered because I do not relish little bunnies marking their territory!). They will not, nor will become, a food source for us. Instead, they will remain treasured pets.
